Spirit Sands
Being around Nikky and Roger is as effortless as it looks. And then put them in nature, their happy place and it’s just good for the soul to be around them! This summer we made the trip out along with my husband to Spirit Sands and the 4 of us did the day-long hike! This Manitoba desert was the perfect day-trip and I’ve been dying to shoot here since I first heard of it! Let me tell you, the uphill hike in the sand was worth every photo!
This may forever be one of my favourite sessions. I don’t know if it was the golden sand, the amazing company or the escape from a crazy year, or a combination of all three, but it was just perfect. If you want to know what Roger and Nikky are like together, I think these photos pretty well show that! I basically just told them which way to walk and the rest was them just enjoying each other’s company. Effortless, like I said! When I look back at these photos, I can almost feel the warm sun and hear Nikky’s contagious laughter and it’s like we’re right back in our beautiful August, spending time with good friends!
