Zach and Desiree’s wedding was my first for the 2018 wedding season. Their Winnipeg spring wedding was a total breath of fresh air after the long, cold winter. When we went out for Zach and Desiree’s engagement session in Sandilands, it was so beautiful but so cold. For their wedding day, it was a little chilly but beautiful for a Manitoba late April. The boys got ready at Zach’s parents house in Mitchell and the girls got ready at Desiree’s aunts house in the country. It was a crazy sunny day but there were a few clouds in the sky that gave us shade. Their first look was at Tourond Creek, a little spot off the highway I’ve been eyeing for the last year. It’s a gorgeous grassy location with lovely colours and textures that give photos such a soft and romantic look.
Their entire wedding day was filled with so much joy, including a few tears. Their love for their family was so clear. There were funny jokes and long, meaningful speeches throughout the night. I loved listening to the stories told about Zach and Des and realizing how really perfect they are for each other! It was such a treat to have been able to know them and to capture their special day.
