There is nowhere more magical than the beach. Each time I make it through the soft sandy path to the beach, the view mesmerizes me. It’s different every time I go and I think that’s what makes it so wonderful! I love that I don’t choose the weather, it’s chosen for each session and it’s always more unique and beautiful than I could have pictured. And as a Winnipeg elopement photographer who loves the beach, you can imagine I’m here quite a bit! You can see another one of my favourite Grand Beach sessions here!
This session was incredibly special for a few reasons! First, it was a mentor session I hosted for 2 photographers wanting to create and learn and build their portfolio. I love sharing my process and helping others to find their muse too. Second, our sweet model Jenna had actually never worn her wedding dress before! Her and Connor had had a last minute intimate lake wedding because of the pandemic and this beauty of a dress stayed hidden in her closet until now, clearly waiting for it’s perfect time to show off.
We started off this session with a simple engagement/anniversary look with an effortless purple garden bouquet and later Jenna got in her gown and brought out an elegant crescent moon shaped orchid and lily bouquet.
