It has been a dream of mine for quite some time now to do a winter wedding styled shoot. Styled shoots allow you to push your creativity and it was the perfect way to bring the vision I’d had to life. In my head, I was picturing an ethereal wedding dress with blue accents throughout the colour palette. I wanted a dreamy location and an adorable couple to model. Thanks to all of the amazing Winnipeg wedding vendors, I got all of those things!
The lovely dress I used was from Christie’s Bridal in Steinbach as well as the hairpiece. Our makeup artist was the lovely Jessica Kmiec who never fails to impress! Likewise, Kendra Deanne did an equally amazing job on my model, Jessica! The table and settings were all from C&T Rentals and I could not get over how gorgeous it all was! (By the way, that table weighs a ton and if you’re going to rent them, have lots of big strong men and women with you!) Additionally, you can make it work with a groom, a Vanessa and a super strong lady from Madeline’s Weddings! Besides all of the heavy lifting, our strong lady also helped with all of the styling to make sure everything was perfect!
Vanessa Penner Calligraphy drew up some stunning invitations to match the soft, blue and romantic theme. Erika did a really beautiful design on Jessica’s nails, and I’d love to wear that every day! You really need to check out her work if you love intricate and show stopping nail designs! Lastly, Fauna and Fern did a such a wonderful job with the floral arrangements. I made sure to take them home to get some extra good use of them after!
My amazing models have been married for almost a year and it was so fun to work with them! Jess is full of love, light and laughter and Bruce you can clearly see is still totally smitten with her! Their love is beautiful and I’m so glad that I got to get to know them! Yay for cute married people!
We managed to get a beautiful day that was just below freezing, and the evening was filled with gorgeous light! Earlier in our day, we had the most golden sun I’d seen so far and as the sun set, a thick fog set in. It was amazing to see how this shoot came together with the help of so many amazing Winnipeg wedding vendors! I loved how the photos turned out and that’s all thanks to the wonderful people I worked with! Thank you so much!
