A few months back, this idea to incorporate horses into a shoot came to me! Honestly, I have no idea how I haven’t thought of this sooner because, if you know me at all, you know my love of all things horse related! Two weeks ago I was looking at the forecast and saw that we were going to have some warm days. Shooting out in -40 weather just isn’t an option so I quickly threw this idea into motion! It was a beautiful, warm and sunny winter afternoon at the farm, perfect for this horse inspired Canadian wedding styled shoot! The whole afternoon was a dream! We warmed up with hot coffee in between to let our fingers thaw and got our solid fix of all barn animals! As you’ll see, there are a few kittens that got into photos, all fascinated with Ashley’s dress.

Winter is a really solid off season for me and this winter wedding shoot was just what I needed for a pick me up! It was so fun to combine several of my biggest passions in life into one magical shoot. If you have a strong love for any animal, I highly recommend incorporating that pet into your wedding photos!
